This episode is an especially juicy one. My guest, Ward Lassoe, is a licensed therapist and life coach based in Charleston, South Carolina. Ward is a particularly interesting guest as all of his clients are men, ranging from adolescents up through adulthood. The topics in today’s episode touch on challenges many men deal with today including loneliness, relationship troubles, obstacles in cultivating friendships with other men, communicating with vulnerability, having the DTR talk, stigmas of men going to therapy, addictions, anxiety, and depression. Ward talks about the different approaches and methods he uses in his practice, and he describes himself as more of a fixer than a talker. This style seems to work well with guys, since generally speaking, a lot of men prefer to solve problems instead of discussing them. Another element that he incorporates into his counseling is positive psychology, which I am a big believer in as well.

To learn more about Ward and reference some of the resources he mentions in the episode, check out his website:  www.wardlassoecounseling.com

I believe this episode offers a lot of valuable insight into the mental health of the modern man. Please share if you think it could benefit a friend.

Thank you and have a great week!
